"...A new player in the Australian pantheon of great music, singer/songwriter Diana May Clark has a fabulous album called The Other Side of the Girl…  She’s crafted a fantastic set of songs…a mixture of Brazilian beats with Psychedelic Rock/Pop, and some great torch songs.  Produced by Greg Arnold (Things of Stone and Wood), along with her partner Doug de Vries on guitar, it's an amazing production, and one I'll be sprinkling on radio over the year!" ABC Radio National 'Afternoons' Michael Mackenzie.

This psychedelic pop project was written over a winter when Clark lost her voice and took to the piano.  It combines the pop/rock/jazz influences she grew up with blended with the world of ‘musica brasileira’.

From the get go, Diana May Clark’s ‘The Other Side of the Girl’ makes you wanna undulate.  Not nod your head, not tap your toes nor click your fingers - you wanna move your hips. This is a disc designed to drive you to the dance floor.  Later, you can lie on your back staring at the sky and let the sublime blend of voice and music take you slipping through time like sunshine through tree tops...” Pat Monaghan (Basement Disks, Melbourne).
